Needless to say, Cam and I freaked out when we came across this feline demon creature on Sunday. Trelease, surely not even you can feel tenderly towards this apparation?!

This photo doesn't even capture how weird the cat's fur was either - at first we thought someone had shaved it recently, but its just one of those breeds that is furry in a strange way that kinda looks like lamb's wool...?! Do youse know what I mean? My grandma has a cat like it... very odd the first time you see it, quite un-kitty-like.
Anyway, I'm glad it wasn't still Halloween weekend. It would've been just too much to take.
You've reminded me... I think I may have neglected to tell you, Bella, that I saw my first fox (as did Steph). Don't picture this as some romanticised encounter with gorgeous wild-life in some English woodlands. It was at an urban shopping mall, it was indeed on Halloween celebration night, and we were dressed as withces. The fox looked like a scraggly manky dog - certainly not what I expected from a fox. Perhaps it was dressed up also? Maybe as a wolf or something?
Ohhh too weird! I'm imagining it as some out-take from 28 Days Later. I love the idea that even a creature is dressed up on Halloween - tho of course one hanging out in a inner city mall would be - OF COURSE! Making a change from the usual trackies he scuffs around in or whatevs.
I've seen this cats twin in Brooklyn. Jennie and I were just walking along and we both went "kittttttttyyyyyy" and then as we got closer we saw that indeed it was the devil's spawn and we scuttled home as fast as we could before we caught something from it. Unless of course its migrated from washington ave to thompson st? Cats do have rather big territories
A few corrections, Leanne: it wasn't on Thompson St we spotted it actually, it was Aro St, out front of that 'Practical Philosophy' homestead building - you know, the big white one, set back from the road?
And you wouldn't have "caught something" my dear... more likely you would've had throbbing laser beams shot into you from its eyes, or a fanged vampiric bite into your tender unsuspecting neck perhaps.

But yes, it is a rather evil little kitty. I wouldn't walk over to pat it like I normally would, I'd just stand back and talk to it from the footpath.
