on the other side of the coin, mad props to Al Bol and Ian Wedde for getting Arts Lauraute grants this week. these are both people I've met, conversed with and was thrilled that they are just as awesome as their work that i had admired in the cinematic/literary fields

Brilliantly cynical. Of course, one could argue that Gabriel is merely creating a catastrophe of her own.
Parts of it also read like a description of the blogosphere. "Argue with a popular blogger" is a commonly recommended strategy to to increase traffic to your own blog. ;-)
ahh Sam - I think you'll find that Gabriel is boy-flavoured. Most girly ones spell it "Gabrielle".
Or is this a cleverly crafted demonstration of yours to try and engage a traffic-heavy blog flame war by implying that people are the gender they're NOT?! ohh
